Your training stays yours.

45 lb is built for training, not data harvesting. You sign in with Apple, your workouts live in your 45 lb account, and that account exists for exactly one purpose: running the app for you. This page lists everything we hold and everything we refuse to do with it.
What we collect
When you sign in and train, our servers store: the name and email address Apple shares at sign-in (choose "Hide My Email" and we receive a private relay address instead), anaccount identifier (we never see your Apple password), and your training data — your routines, custom exercises, sets, weights, reps and workout history. If you send feedback from the app, we also receive your message along with basic device details (app version and build, iOS version, device model, and your device's language setting) so we can reproduce what you're describing. If you report a bug, you can choose to attach your workout log — a record of what happened in the app during recent workouts: the routines and exercises by name, the weights and reps of each set, rest timers and Apple Watch commands. It also holds technical details: the app version and build, your iOS and watchOS versions, your iPhone and Apple Watch models, the first 8 characters of a random ID for the watch app's install (it shows us a reinstall or re-pair), and the steps the app took around a workout — the connection between phone and watch, whether the app was in front and whether the watch screen was dimmed, when a Health workout session or Live Activity started, paused, ended or failed (with any error message from Apple's systems, and whether Apple Health access was refused), and your Pro status. It is off unless you turn it on, and you can read it before you send it. We also keep the date you last used your account.
If you subscribe to 45 lb Pro, we store thesubscription record Apple gives us — which product you bought, Apple's transaction identifier for it, and when it expires — so the app knows you're a subscriber. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details. If a friend referred you when you signed up, we keep a record of which account referred you.
Where your data lives
Your training data is stored on your device and synced to 45 lb's own servers over an encrypted connection, so signing in on a new iPhone brings your history with it. It is notstored in iCloud.
What we never do
No advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, no tracking across other apps, and no selling or sharing of your data — with anyone, for any reason. Your data is used to run the app for you, and for nothing else.
Apple Health
If you turn on "Save workouts to Apple Health", finished workouts are written to the Health app, and during a session the Apple Watch app reads your heart rate to show it live. Health data stays on your device and in Apple Health — it is never sent to our servers.
The exercise catalog
45 lb downloads a shared, read-only catalog of exercises and routine templates from a public database so the library can grow without an app update. This is a one-way download of reference content — no personal data is sent in order to fetch it.
Deleting your data
Deleting your account removes your data from our servers. Backups of our database are kept for up to 14 days, so a copy of deleted data can remain in them for that long before it is gone for good. You can also email help@45lb.app from any address and we will delete it for you.
Children
45 lb is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date above will change with it. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
